Are Croutons Gluten Free?

Croutons are usually not gluten-free because being rebaked or sautéed bread, they are usually made from wheat. However, for those with celiac disease or gluten sensitivities, you can definitely find some gluten free croutons brands!

This list of gluten-free croutons only lists brands that are certified gluten-free. Instead of using wheat ingredients to make these salad toppers, these brands use gluten-free flour alternatives.

To find the best crouton product for you, scroll through the brands below and check out the varieties that they offer. Some brands will only have gluten-free plain croutons, but others will have seasoned croutons that are gluten-free.

Most of the brands on this list can be purchased online, but you can find some of them in the grocery store! If a brand can be easily found in a popular grocery store, I’ll list those stores in the description along with a link to their product locator. If you want to buy them online, these links will be in the “buy online” section!

Product ingredients can change at any time. Before you buy, make sure to check the most recent product certifications and look for any allergen warnings on the label.

Note: Many popular crouton brands that had gluten-free options either discontinued their gluten-free product or only release it seasonally. Texas Toast, Ian’s, and Aldi’s Live G Free croutons are some brands that used to sell gluten-free croutons but might no longer be available.
